Graduate Assistant: Humanities Research Assistant
The University of Miami’s Office of Civic and Community Engagement is seeking a Humanities Graduate assistant for Fall 2025 to provide research our newest project on environmental humanities. The graduate research assistant will support our interdisciplinary team’s community-focused project, Miami as Ground Zero: Tracing the Magic City’s Environmental History and Future. The graduate research assistant will contribute to interdisciplinary research and public engagement on environmental history and climate resilience. The graduate assistant will collaborate with faculty, library staff, students, and community residents to ensure the projects reflect diverse perspectives and historical narratives. We are seeking someone to work 20 hours per week for the academic year beginning in August 2025. Health insurance subsidy is included. Please note this position does not include tuition remission. Graduate Assistant: Digital Media Research Assistant (part-time)
The Office of Civic and Community Engagement is seeking a part time graduate research assistant for academic year 2025-2026. The Digital Media Research Assistant will support our interdisciplinary team’s community-focused project, Miami as Ground Zero: Tracing the Magic City’s Environmental History and Future. The graduate research assistant will contribute to interdisciplinary research and public engagement on environmental history and climate resilience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative digital storytelling and public engagement on critical environmental and climate issues. The assistant will work closely with faculty, researchers, and community partners to curate, design, and present multimedia content in an accessible and engaging format. We are seeking someone to work 10 hours per week for the academic year beginning in August 2025. Please note this position does not include tuition remission or the health insurance subsidy. Graduate Assistant: Civic Scholars Coordinator
The Office of Civic and Community Engagement (CCE) and the William R. Butler Center for Volunteer Service and Leadership Development (BC) seek a Civic Scholars Coordinator Graduate Assistant to join their team of professionals. We are seeking someone to work 20 hours per week for the academic year beginning in August 2025 for a stipend of $18,000 for the year. Undergraduate Research Assistant
The University of Miami’s Office of Civic and Community Engagement is seeking an undergraduate assistant for Fall 2025 to support our newest research project on environmental humanities. The undergraduate research assistant will support our interdisciplinary team’s community-focused project, Miami as Ground Zero: Tracing the Magic City’s Environmental History and Future. The undergraduate research assistant will support development of the environmental history timeline and the climate resilience exhibition. This position offers a unique opportunity for an undergraduate student to gain hands-on experience in research, archival digitization, and public engagement while contributing to a meaningful interdisciplinary project. Communications and Public Relations Student Assistant (Federal Work Study)
The Office of Civic and Community Engagement is seeking a communications and public relations intern during 2025-2026 Academic Year for assisting and supporting our office with a variety of social media and marketing initiatives. Hours are flexible and depend on the student’s class schedule, and availability. Hours are mutually agreed upon, and should be between 15 and 20 hours per week during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. The applicant must have Federal Work Study Funds.
